Giraffes

At Schreiner’s Farms, our giraffes are some of the most loved animals here. With their long necks, spotted coats, and gentle nature, they’re always a favorite for visitors of all ages. Our giraffes play an important role in creating a memorable wildlife experience. Whether they’re leisurely grazing, interacting with their herd, or curiously observing, they offer a unique glimpse into the beauty and behavior of one of nature’s most iconic animals. Schreiner Farms is committed to providing a comfortable, enriching environment where our giraffes can thrive while helping guests develop a deeper appreciation for wildlife and conservation. We take exceptional care of our giraffes and make sure they have a safe, comfortable place to live. When you visit Schreiner’s Farms, be sure to stop by and observe these amazing animals!

Bactrian camels

Our camels are a unique part of Schreiner Farms and a favorite for many visitors. They each have their own personalities—some will come over to see what’s going on, while others keep to themselves. They spend their time roaming, resting, and interacting with each other in their space. When you visit, they’re always out for you to see!

Muntjac

Muntjac are a farm favorite here and are small deer that originally come from Asia. Different species are found in places like China, India, and parts of Southeast Asia, where they live in forests and wooded areas. They’re often called “barking deer” because of the short, barking sound they can make when they feel alarmed or are communicating with others.

Tortoise

Spike is our pet tortoise at Schreiner Farms and a steady, familiar part of the ranch. He moves at his own slow pace and spends most of his time exploring, resting, or digging tunnels. Spike doesn’t rush for anything, and that’s part of what makes him fun to watch.

Wallaroos

Wallaroos a smaller species of kangaroo native to Australia. They are typically found in Open plains and scrubland. They live in small groups and they tend to be calm and observant animals. They spend much of their time grazing and resting in shaded areas during the warmer parts of the day. Unlike larger kangaroos, they are more compact in build, but still very agile and capable of quick movement when needed.

Bison

Our bison are among the most impressive animals on the ranch. They are one of North America’s largest land mammals and are known for their massive size, strong build, and distinctive shoulder hump. They are well adapted to different weather conditions, including cold winters and hot summers, thanks to their thick coats and hardy nature. At the farm, our bison spend their time grazing in open areas and moving as a group.

Deer

As mentioned before, muntjac are some of our favorite deer at Schreiner Farms. However, we also care for several other deer and antelope species. These include oryx, fallow deer, sika deer, sitatunga, reindeer, and kudu. Each species has its own distinct characteristics, from differences in size and appearance to behavior, they each create diversity found within the deer and antelope family.

Cattle

Schreiner Farms is a fully operating cattle ranch and has been since we first started. Our herd consists of around 400 pair and 30 bulls. During summer months the cattle are on our hillside. While in winter season we are in the midst of calving.

Additional Animals

In addition to our main species, Schreiner Farms is also home to a wide variety of other animals, including, but not limited to zebras, yaks, swans, donkeys, emus, and alpacas. These animals add to the diversity of the ranch and give visitors even more to see as they drive through. Each one contributes something different to the overall experience, whether it’s in the way they move, interact, or simply live within their space on the farm.
