Schreiner Farms & Ranch
Schreiner Farms was started in 1978 and continues to operate as a working cattle ranch today. Our Washington ranch spans more than 12,000 acres in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, just across the Columbia River from The Dalles. The wide-open landscape, rolling hills, and scenic views make it a unique place for both ranching and visiting.
We care for a variety of animals and focus on providing a healthy, low-stress environment. They are given quality feed, plenty of space, and daily attention to ensure they are well cared for. The ranch is supported by natural fresh water springs and clean well water, which play an important role in keeping the animals healthy year-round. One of the things that makes Schreiner Farms special is the space our animals have to roam. Instead of being kept in small pens, they live in large, open areas that allow them to move freely and behave more naturally. This creates a better environment for the animals and a more enjoyable experience for visitors.
We’ve also built long-standing relationships with experienced local veterinarians, working together for over 35 years to maintain the health and well-being of all the animals on the ranch. Schreiner Farms is open to the public, and guests are welcome to drive through at their own pace. It’s a relaxed way to see a wide range of animals up close while enjoying the natural beauty of the area. Whether it’s your first visit or you’ve been here before, there’s always something new to see.
